Galiano Island is the first of the Gulf Islands when arriving from the Mainland. 25 minutes from Vancouver to the Tsawwassen ferry terminal, the refreshing ferry ride is only 50 minutes. 25 minutes from Victoria to the Swartz Bay ferry terminal and a relaxing 1 1/2 hour ferry ride, or you may want to fly in by float plane from the mainland or Victoria. Galiano Island boasts many parks with spectacular view points and forest trails for hiking. Cycle the country roads, or go horse back riding. The superb waters for kayaking, diving and fishing, make Galiano a perfect vacation spot.

Paradise Rock Cottage is situated half way up Galiano Island, 12 km from the Sturdies Bay ferry dock, where most services and provisions are located. This newly built ocean front cottage is a tranquil place to get away from the bustle of the city and enjoy some rest & relaxation.

Galiano Island is a kayakers delight with its sculptured sandstone cliffs, small coves and sheltered beaches. Located 200' from the cottage is a beach access, perfect for kayaks & canoes.
