Rent the main adult house ( Seniors Discount available ) or our wonderful family cottage on this spectacular waterfront property, situated 1 1/2 km from the Sturdies Bay ferry terminal, at the south end of Galiano Island. Active Pass is the main southern ferry route from the mainland ( Vancouver ) to Vancouver Island ( Victoria ). Storm lovers will delight during the late autumn and early spring as windy storms create huge waves on the shore.


A vast cottage lawn area provides space for playing any number of games and is very safe for young children. The main house, limited to adult use, has a beautiful large deck with patio furniture and hot tub (house rental only) . While the cozy cottage, is set well back of the main house, and offers you complete privacy with covered and open decks.

Watch the majestic B.C. Ferries and other marine craft make their way through Active Pass... the most heavily used marine passage from Vancouver to Vancouver Island, BC. The gradual slope of the sandstone to the waters edge makes it ideal for swimming as well as launching kayaks & canoes. A delightful sandy beach is just a 5 minute walk away.

Throughout the Gulf Islands, the waters abound with marine life including seals, otters, gulls, cormorants and eagles. Pods of killer whales, ( Orcas ), frequent these waters during the summer months.

Sunrise at Arbutus Bay is breathtaking. Rise early and enjoy your coffee down at the water's edge to await the beginning of the day. Do not forget the beautiful celestial skies, perfect for star gazing.

The marina offers fishing, boat & kayak rentals, tours, shops and a restaurant. Galiano Golf Club is a challenging 9-hole course. Bike & moped rentals are also available. There are numerous beaches, hiking trails and magnificent vistas throughout this 19 mile long island. Galiano has three grocery stores, two liquour stores, a bakery, laundromat, numerous restaurants and artisan shops.
